Delicious Halloween Sugar Cookie Recipe to Reduce Sugar Halloween
Reduced Sugar Halloween is a perfect time to whip up a batch of fun-shaped cookies! Grab yourself some themed cookie cutters, such as pumpkins, ghosts, bats, and more, and get ready to serve up some sugar Cookies without the Reduced Sugar Halloween. This recipe is based on using a sugar substitute in the form of granular sweeteners made specifically for baking.
Just look in the sugar and sweetener section of your grocery store and select a brand and package that states it is an equal measurement to sugar. Meaning, that 1 cup of your replacement sweetener is equal to one cup of sugar and looks the same when filling a measuring cup.
Reduced Sugar Halloween Cookie Ingredients:
1 cup butter (Light butter if desired)
1 cup no-calorie sweetener, Granulated (type for baking)
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 cup egg substitute (Eggbeaters)
1/4 cup water
3/4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
3 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
Halloween Sugar Cookie Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees (F). Next, blend the butter, Granulated Sweetener, and vanilla in a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer, or by hand. Next, add the egg substitute, water, and apple cider vinegar. Mix gently before adding in the flour, salt, and baking powder. Continue to mix until your dough is formed Reduced Sugar Halloween.
CHILLING THE DOUGH – Place the dough on a floured work surface and divide it in half. Wrap each half in cling wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. This helps set the dough for a firmer and workable texture that’s perfect for making cookies! It’s also a great tip for making pie crust!
